I don't know what started it but one day I got the idea to start writing and casting messages in bottles. I preferably use tinted glass wine bottles. The tint helps prevent the written note on the inside from fading in the sunlight. My messages are no more than one page long and usually say:
"Hello! I am a message in a bottle! I was written and casted into the Tennessee River by Kelly, a lady who lives in Tennessee in the U.S. Now that you have gotton this message, consider yourself lucky! You have just found a needle in a haystack! Only so many bottles were casted by Kelly and you have just found one! You may chose to keep this message and bottle or you may sign this letter along with your nationality and reseal it into the bottle and re-cast it for others to see where I have been! You may also respond to Kelly via email @
kellyintenn@yahoo.com (should you find it itn the time period of the internet) or write to her at this address: (my home address here). Congratulations and many blessings to you!

I just recently got into this hobby because I thought it was truley different. In a fast paced world, at least these messages can take their time. This very website link is also written on each message, so if you have just found one of my bottles and you have come here, well, "Hello! Great to have you!" Keep an eye out for my bottles if you are out boating or fishing or just walking the coastline. They are tinted bottles with an orange or red tape sealed cap, so they stand out to the eye. Take Care and Good Luck!
